“Special attention is paid to winter crops in Minsk region, because the winter wedge gives the highest yield and grain volume during harvesting. Vasily Sysoev - In the capital region there are about 360 thousand hectares of winter cereals, in the future we will increase to 400 thousand hectares. In 2022 - by 5-10%. 140 thousand hectares remain for spring sowing, the area will decrease in favor The rest will be filled with other necessary crops."

He also noted that two weeks ago, unfavorable weather conditions interfered with the rate of sowing crops, but the agrarians quickly set up their work and reached 5% sowing per day. Already sown 90% of the area. The work is planned to be completed in the next three days.

"After sowing winter crops, the emphasis will be on maize. Almost 60% of it has been harvested for silage. We have started harvesting for grain. About 10% have been harvested, but the first results are encouraging. There are farms that harvest this crop with a yield of more than 100 kg / ha." - said the chairman of the committee.

According to him, sowing and harvesting in Minsk region is going well also thanks to high-performance equipment. Each farm has energy-intensive forage harvesters. Over the past three years, 220 harvesters have been purchased in the region, and the park has also been replenished with 180 units of energy-intensive tractors, 28 grain drying complexes and other equipment.
