Alexander Lukashenko visits Soligorsk region on a working trip

Alexander Lukashenko visits Soligorsk region on a working trip, BELTA reports.

In Soligorsk, the head of state met with active people of Minsk Oblast, and then visited the Belkali-Migao enterprise.

During the working trip, the President was informed about the socio-economic development of Minsk Oblast and Soligorsk region, the financial and economic activities of Belaruskali, the implementation of the investment project for the construction of a potassium nitrate plant at the site of the Soligorsk enterprise.

They decided to create potassium nitrate production in Belarus three years ago. In May 2017, an agreement was signed between the Chinese company Migao Corporation and Belaruskali. To implement the project, a joint venture was created - LLC Belkali-Migao. Br238 million was invested in the new plant.

As reported, Alexander Lukashenko has already held similar meetings with regional activists in Mogilev, Grodno and Brest.

In addition, the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, will orient Minsk Oblast on 2-3 major investment projects in the next five-year period. He stated this today at a meeting with managers of Minsk Oblast.

The head of state noted: the program of socio-economic development for the next five years will be written so that it is understandable not only to the asset, but also so that ordinary people and business leaders understand what will happen. Alexander Lukashenko recalled: even in Soviet times, when drawing up such plans, investments and enterprises that needed to be put into operation were clearly prescribed.

“I would very much like new ones to appear in addition to the traditional ones. It is impossible to manage one enterprise for Minsk Oblast. Two or three, but this should be absolutely justified, there must be money for this,” the Belarusian leader emphasized.

Alexander Lukashenko recalled that six months ago, when appointing a new governor, he already met with the region’s assets in a narrower composition and then key development directions for the coming years were outlined. “Of course, all this will be clarified with the expectation of a five-year plan,” the head of state said.
