Alexander Turchin: Smolevichi region should become yet another pearl of the capital oblast

Smolevichi region should become another pearl of the metropolitan area. The region can develop at a faster pace, which means that the well-being of citizens will grow. This was stated during the consideration of the approval of the chairman of the district executive committee at an extraordinary session of Smolevichi Region Council of Deputies by the chairman of Minsk Oblast Executive Committee Alexander Turchin.

Presenting the certificate to the new head of the region Andrei Ratomsky, Alexander Turchin noted that Smolevichi have great economic potential, developed social infrastructure, but they can work even more efficiently.

He also emphasized that what is happening in the region today directly depends on the local staff.

- The tasks are clear and understandable, they are brought in all directions: this is the social sphere, and industry, and agriculture. And they should be fully implemented by the head of any region, - said the head of the oblast.

He also recalled that Smolevichi is a satellite city. Intensive housing construction continues here. Also, it is necessary to deal with the improvement and development of infrastructure.

Creating new industries and jobs, increasing wages, developing agriculture and attracting investments are the issues that, in the opinion of Andrei Ratomsky, also have to be seriously worked on. With regard to personnel policy, the chairman of the district executive committee will adhere to principled business tactics with the requirement for clear performance of official duties and compliance with the law.

Prior to this, Andrei Ratomsky headed New Life OJSC. Last year, the farm was one of the five best in the area during the harvesting campaign. He graduated in 1997 from Grodno State Agricultural Institute, in 2003 - the Institute for Management of the Agricultural Complex, and in 2014 - the Academy of Management under the President. He began his career with work as a mechanic in the repair shops of Lenin collective farm, Nesvizh region. In 2001, he became the head of the Novy Snov dairy farm, Nesvizh region. He also worked in several farms of the region, from 2003 to 2010 he headed the SEC “September 17”.
