FC BATE Borisov drew with Bayer Leverkusen 1-1 in their final home game of the UEFA Champions League group stage on 24 November, BelTA informs.


BATE had every chance to climb off the bottom of the section on the night and take revenge for their earlier 1-4 defeat at Leverkusen. BATE Borisov score early when Mikhail Gordeichuk's shot slipped through Bayer's goalie Bernd Leno. Admir Mehmedi leveled in the second half with a side-foot volley.


The Group E standings are as follows: Barcelona – 10 points (four games played), Roma – 5 (4), Bayer Leverkusen – 5 (5), BATE Borisov – 4 (5). Two best teams from each group will advance into the round of 16. Teams finishing third will play in the Europa League Last 32.
