The participants of the 12th Christmas International Ice Hockey Tournament for the Prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus will visit the Radoshkovichi boarding school for orphans and children left without parental care on 6 January, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism.
Players of the participating teams (Germany, the U.A.E., Russia, Slovakia, Finland, Switzerland, Sweden, and Belarus) are expected to visit children, give them presents.
The President's Sports Club, the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation (BIHF), which are the organizers of the charity campaign Christmas Traditions, will transfer Br300 million in charity aid to the children's institution.
The first campaign Christmas Traditions was organized during the 9th Christmas International Ice Hockey Tournament for the Prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus. Many players say that they come to Minsk not only to play in the Christmas tournament but also to support this charity initiative: to visit children and to arrange a real holiday for them.
During the first campaign the participants of the tournament visited seven social-pedagogical centers and a family-type children's home in Minsk and Minsk District.
