New shareholders of Uralkali regularly contact the Belarusian President regarding the cooperation with Belaruskali. The head of state made the statement at the 5th Belarusian People's Congress on 23 June, BelTA has learned.

“Virtually every month new shareholders of Uralkali contact me to say that they want to cooperate. I tell them that I am ready to meet with them if they have proposals,” Alexander Lukashenko said.

“Today they are ready to cooperate with us. We are not against. But we will work on our terms. The terms are normal for them,” the head of state said. “Let's resume work (Belarusian Potash Company as a common trader. – BelTA's note). Let's agree on the volumes of production. To put it plainly, we will divide markets and will not compete with each other. It will bring good dividends.”

“We will not relocate Belarusian Potash Company which was in charge of sales to Switzerland, the head of state added.

“We were the first to come out of a recession. We have restored the level of output and even increased it. I do not say that we are number one company in the world. But if they have to choose between the products of Belarusian Potash Company and any other company, for example, fro Canada, they choose Belarusian products. Why? Because the state guarantees that this company is honest,” the President said. “It is important to be honest in business,” he added.

Apart from that, the head of state said that the enterprise Polesyekali will be set up near Petrikov. This will be a strong factory with cutting-edge equipment. The enterprise Slavkali will be opened at the Lyuban deposit. “We will occupy a leading position on the market of potash fertilizers because of the volumes of fertilizers we make,” the President believes.
