BATE Borisov went through 3-2 on aggregate after a 2-1 away win over Ukraine's Olexandriya

BATE Borisov went through 3-2 on aggregate after a 2-1 away win over Ukraine's Olexandriya on 24 August, BelTA has learned.

A week ago the game ended in a 1-1 draw in Borisov.

Stanislav Dragun of Ukraine capitalized on a penalty to open the score in the 34th minute. After the break BATE put pressure on Olexandriya's goalkeeper and Mirko Ivanic leveled off in the 70th minute. The guests continued the attack and Mirko Ivanic put in his second of the night three minutes later.

The draw for the Europa League group stages will be conducted in Monaco on Friday, 25 August.

FC BATE Borisov kicked off this season from the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. They at first beat FC Alashkert Armenia 1-1 (at home) and 3-1 (away), and then lost SK Slavia Prague 0-1 (away) and 2-1 (at home).
