Belarus' Borisov, China's Ningbo sign cooperation agreement

Ningbo is a major port city in China's Zhenjiang Province

The Belarusian city of Borisov and the Chinese city of Ningbo signed an agreement on establishing friendly ties at the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee on 26 November, BelTA has learned.

The document was signed by Chairman of the Borisov District Executive Committee Gennady Dengalev and Secretary of the Communist Party Municipal Committee of Ningbo Zheng Zhajie. The parties agreed to promote cooperation in trade, economy, education, culture, tourism, sports, health, urban planning, environmental protection, and to promote mutual prosperity.

Top executives and interested parties from Borisov and Ningbo got an opportunity to forge and expand contacts in order to exchange delegations or information materials and thus to learn more about history and way of life of each other.

Ningbo is a major port city in China's Zhenjiang Province. The city has four port complexes. One of the biggest is Beilun where Geely cars are manufactured. In 2017 the city's GDP reached $144.8 billion, up 7.8%. Per capita GDP stood at about $18,000.
