According to Tamara Loiko, head of the consumer market regulation department of the main department of trade and services of Minsk Region Executive Committee, the volume of laying vegetables and fruits decreased compared to last year.

- This time we put 2.7 thousand tons of potatoes, almost 1.7 thousand tons of cabbage, about 700 tons of onions, 650 tons of carrots, 540 tons of beets and 560 tons of fruits - these are apples. More than half of vegetables and fruits have been laid in the stabilization fund today, it will be fully formed by November 15, - said Tamara Loiko.

She also noted that the products put into the stabilization fund last year were almost completely used in the off-season. Only a few potatoes remained. Products are traditionally placed in vegetable and fruit storage facilities, which are run by agricultural organizations, organizations of consumer cooperation systems and farms.

Fresh vegetables and fruits can be purchased at specialized autumn fairs that take place in the Minsk region every week on weekends from September 11 to November 20.
