Shakhter won the Belarusian Super Cup for the first time

For the third time BATE and Shakhtar fought for the Belarusian Super Cup on football, and the Soligorsk team finally won the trophy! And if we take into account the last year's defeat at the hands of Brest residents, then it turns out from the fourth run. However, in any case, on March 2, the Super Cup would still have remained in the Minsk region, which cannot but rejoice: the teams of the capital region continue to reign in national football.

Salihorsk, as expected, played in the main squad of former Borisov citizens Filipenko and Stasevich, but the rivals surprised by the absence of Dragun and Skavysh. The first half of the opening half was left for BATE, who actively put pressure on Roman Grigorchuk's charges, preventing them from starting attacks. And, to be honest, the nominal home team looked too passive. But the guests themselves helped them to level the game when they loosened their grip. And then there was the first dangerous moment in the match. If Sachivko had played more cunning, the ball could have ended up in Chichkan's goal. On the 27th minute, BATE's defense showed that it could not cope with how the opponent added speed. Yablonskiy fouls very roughly against Szoke, and the midfielder had to be changed. Salihorsk tried to prove to the referee that it would not hurt to get a red card, but Kurgkheli got away with a yellow one. Over time, Grigorchuk's team increased the pressure more and more, and in the 38th minute Diasamidze shot into the post.

At the beginning of the second half, the same Diasamidze was again in the spotlight: he made a perfect pass to Kendysh, who shot into the goalkeeper. In an attempt to strengthen the attack, BATE sent the top scorer of the last championship of the country Skavysh into battle. And he could open an account in just three minutes, but, having come out one on one with Gutor, he could not beat the goalkeeper. 68th minute, and again Skavysh was unlucky, who did not manage to close Nekhaichik's transmission. It became clear who scores first is likely to win the Super Bowl. Closer to the finish of normal time, Shakhtar had more initiative, but didn’t get any benefit from it. They had to shoot a penalty, although in five previous similar matches at the stadium on Mayakovsky Street everything ended in regulation time.

In the penalty shootout, the goalkeeper of the Soligorsk team, Gutor, played heroically, having twice repulsed the shots from Borisov and scored the decisive goal.

- I saw before the game that physically we are fine. But the emotional state did not allow us to play the way they could. The guys were overexcited, tried too hard, lost their heads from football. A lot of confusion in the first half. During the break, emotions leveled off. The second half turned out much better, although it was not good. But according to the number of chances that they created, the victory is natural. I didn’t decide that Gutor would take the penalty. We have identified the top five. And the next batter was determined by the guys, Thank them for making the right decision, - said Grigorchuk
